Working with Leather (Ickert Monday Mornings)

This is a fun and creative way to learn to work with leather and to create amazingly useful leather items. This class is for all levels of learners from beginners to those with more advanced leather-working skills. You will learn to come up with personal designs, create patterns and then cut and assemble custom leather goods. Projects can include sunglass cases, shaving kits, Dopp kits, bags (lined and unlined), totes, tool bags, wallets, stuffed animals and much more. Students will learn about the various types of leather and how each has ideal uses.  You will also learn to line bags and add pockets, as well as adding zippers and other closures. We will cover both hand and machine sewing.
