Beginner Bookmaking (Thoman Wednesday Evenings)
Explore the ins and outs of contemporary bookmaking, working towards making your own professionally and archival, bound journals, sketchbooks, and albums. This workshop will introduce artists to bookmaking techniques— the basics of paper folding, adhesives, stitching and sewing, to begin the integration of bookmaking into your artistic practice. We’ll work with high-quality materials, allowing you to design your creation using beautiful book cloth and papers from around the world. Terri Thoman will guide you through easy-to-master skills, and step-by-step processes towards creating a collection of handmade books. No experience necessary, curious beginners encouraged!
All tools and supplies will be provided.
There is an additional $65 Supply Fee, payable to the studio, DAFPS. Cash, check, Credit Card, or Apple Pay are accepted.
