Intrigued with printmaking? Concerned about technical process? This class allows you to experience the basics through a non-toxic approach. The class will also demystify the world of printmaking through practice, allowing the artist to continue without or with a press. Our focus will cover relief printing, drypoint etching and monotype. Each process will improve your knowledge of simple registration, increase your understanding and ability to layer colors, create a collection of limited-edition original prints. No matter your artistic skill level, or preferred medium, introducing the basics of printmaking will enhance your creativity. You will learn:
- About three historic printing processes
- How to choose the correct paper
- Basic elements of design
