Come join the fun and learn to make felt with some beautiful surface design techniques that you can use on clothing or sculptural pieces! We will cover some basic topics like what type of wool to use for sculptural felting (vases, purses, etc.) and for wearable felts as well as what is prefelt and how is it used. Learn to add embellishment textures to the surface and make some sculptural surface designs such as fins, craters, loops and pockets. You will leave with several small sample pieces.
NOTE: Please bring 2-4 old flat towels, a fertilizer spray bottle with very fine spray (Flo-Master Model 5HD is available at Home Depot for just $8 and works great!) and scissors that will cut fabric. Wear comfortable clothes and shows that can get a little wet. Please bring a lunch.
