Learning a new art form can be intimidating, but this class will guide through you the best materials and techniques to use creating paper collages.  Learn best practices on setting up your studio space for working with mixed media, discover the different attributes of materials that suit you and your style and learn how to tie everything together to create a unified work of art. By the end of the class, you will have eight ready-to-hang works of art.  

You will learn: 

  • How to set up a functioning studio and how to choose a color palette using mixed media
  • Basic elements of design (value, space, texture, color, form, shape, line)
  • Principles of design (contrast, emphasis, balance, unity, pattern,, movement and rhythm
