Teachers will have the opportunity to create three different types of ceramic forms (including both functional and sculptural forms) that can be used in their classrooms. The CAC Educator will inform Teachers of the cultural and historical references of these forms while relaying the quality craftsmanship skills necessary to adapt these projects for all ages. Teachers will work with raw clay on day one and continue with on glazing techniques and surface finishes on day two. All work from day one will be fired for finishing on day two. Geared for fun, exploration, and the necessary 12 hours of professional development (including certificate).
This workshop provides 12 hours of professional development (including certificate) for ISD Teachers.
There will be a one-hour lunch break and you can bring a lunch or visit nearby restaurants in East Dallas near CAC.
