Ideal for members and current ceramics students, this two-part workshop is geared for intermediate to advanced throwing students. Students will use the first session to throw parts for a covered jar where you will learn the technical aspects of creating lids, how they function, and the most successful way to unify a finial atop the lid to the body of the vessel. The second session will be used to trim and finish elements and includes a discussion on surface treatment prior to bisque firing.
