This 6-week Beginners Bookmaking class will guide you through the creation of four simple books, the pamphlet, accordion, coptic, and stab bindings. Discover how to design with paper, and master the basic techniques of gluing, folding, and sewing to unlock the secrets to building a book. You will also explore the process of foil stamping, using ornate and type to add embellishment. All of your materials will be supplied, allowing you amply choices of patterns, textures, and colors to create your unique book forms. No class on 11/26.
