Use rigid heddle looms to create woven cloth. You will learn to weave using plain weave on a two harness rigid heddle loom as well as introduced to weaving terminology, equipment and history while getting step by step guidance to plan and execute your first weaving project. Each student will complete a sample placemat and then choose either two placemats or one scarf to weave.
Skills acquired in this class include:
- A fundamental knowledge of weaving terminology, equipment and history.
- Comprehension of step-by-step processes for warping the loom.
- Project planning, weaving, and finishing techniques.
This is a 4 Week Class.
