During this relief printmaking workshop, students will draw, carve, and print their own woodcut block! You will learn to use carving tools (u-gauges and v-gauges) to create your woodcut. We would love to help you to bring one of your very own creations to life, so we encourage you bring a sketch or drawing. If you just eager to get carving, pre-drawn wood cuts will be provided. All skill levels are welcome! 

Once carving is complete, you will learn how to use, and set gauges for, the printing press. You will come away with a woodcut that can be use again and again. Also, you will leave with a full edition of your print – time permitting. All materials and tools are provided. 

You are welcome to bring lunch or leave to pick something up, as we will breaking for about an hour.
