CLASS or WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION
Stained glass is an ancient art form that can represent it's traditional beginnings or very contemporary ideas. You will learn and develop the skills necessary to turn beautifully colored glass into stained glass windows. Structural and installation issues will be addressed. The copper foil method will be used. All levels are welcome.

Advance your knowledge, skills and technique through this advanced class of technical information for fused glass. This class covers a review of firing schedules, comprehensive diagnosis and problem solving, kiln carving, strip construction and scraffito (working with glass powders and frit.) Through instructor guidance, students will use one or more of these techniques to complete your own functional art.

Delve into the fundamental concepts of kiln formed glass. You will make five or six projects that will exemplify the fusing concepts. Topics will include cutting and fitting glass for a project, how temperature affects the glass, kiln safety and problem solving. You will leave this class with a few nice pieces of art glass and an understanding of the technical aspects of this fascinating art form.
