CLASS or WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION
Join us to exercise your creativity making mosaic art of your choice, in your style, & choice of materials. This class welcomes all - beginners as well as experienced students. Choose to work in glass, tile, or dishes with some supplies & tools on hand in the classroom ready for your use. Enjoy working with a group of students who encourage & inspire one another.

A six-week class taught by Dan + Rebecca Collins
The goal of this class is to teach experimentation while building up layers of color and texture using a variety of collage and printing techniques. We hope that students will learn to get messy and loosen up, allowing happy accidents to occur as they discover new ways of creating mixed-media art.
The first day of class is April 7th.

Integrating paper collage elements into the concept of mosaic, you will create beautiful mosaics from stained glass, porcelain tile, china and found objects. You will be encouraged to combine a wide range of materials. Combining approaches and materials from different art disciplines, you will start thinking outside the box with your mosaic work. Ideal for both beginning and experience mosaic artists. Bring a sketchbook and an open mind.

Explore various mosaic techniques are taught utilizing a wide range of materials, grouts and adhesives. Suitable for beginners and more advanced students. Students work on projects of their choice in a community-based arts education setting. Supply fee includes use of adhesive, grout, glue and some tile.
Join us to spark your creativity while working on a mosaic of your choice with classmates that encourage & inspire one another. You’ll learn how to create a mosaic using broken dishes and recycled materials for a piece that is uniquely yours - as serious, comical, or quirky as you’d like. We’ll discuss materials, making indoor/outdoor pieces, where to find inspiration and how to translate your ideas into finished pieces. Adhesives, grouts, and some dishes are included, but bring any items you’d like to work with. Maybe you have sentimental dishes or favorite garage sale finds you’d like to use? Come break stuff with us to create your own mosaic work of art!
