CLASS or WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION

Translate your imagination into stone with this class covering the techniques of stone carving and sculpting. You will be instructed in the proper use of hand tools, diamond grinders, and pneumatic tools used for creating your ideas out of stone. This class will teach finishing and polishing and provide a space for beginning to experienced artists to discover the design within the stone.

Skills acquired in this class include:

  • Understanding of design fundamentals about stone carving. 
  • Competency with various stone carving equipment.

  • A basic knowledge regarding the specifics of the varieties of available stones.

Saturday class will not meet 8/31 for Labor Day.
