CLASS or WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION
Do you love the fluidity and transparency of watercolor on paper but are intimidated by the medium? This is the class for you. During this introductory workshop we will learn about painting materials, experiment with paints on paper and review the range of watercolor painting possibilities. The day will include demonstrations and your own investigations. You will leave empowered to continue further explorations with this intriguing painting medium.

Design and develop your visual dialogue as you work with multiple materials and create an art piece from concepts including imagery and symbolism. Working with acrylic paint and other items such as hand-cut paper, templates and/or simple drawings, fabric, text, you will play with textures and apply various mediums to create a vibrant work of art on a gesso 2" panel. Supplies and painting surface are provided. Please bring a lunch.

In this workshop you will learn 3 different pouring methods within the Dutch Technique and how to create beautiful cells with lacing. After taking the provided chakra test Anja will introduce you to the 7 chakras, their related colors, and individual attributes. Learn how to detect deficient chakras and how to balance those. Choose the corresponding color schemes for your artwork to balance your deficient chakras.
You will walk away with four 6"x6" canvases of your own finished creations. All materials and tools will be provided. You are welcome to bring snacks/beverages.

Join us for an exciting and informative Procreate workshop for beginners! In this workshop, you’ll learn how to use the popular digital drawing app Procreate to create stunning artwork on your iPad. Our instructor will lead you through a guided project where you will learn the basics of Procreate, from setting up your workspace and selecting the right tools, to creating basic shapes and adding colors and textures. You’ll also learn important techniques such as layering, blending, and masking.
All you need to bring is your iPad with Procreate downloaded, an iPad pencil, and a willingness to learn. No prior experience with Procreate or digital art is necessary for this beginners’ workshop.

Learn the process of using a heated plate and encaustic paints to create luminous and layered encaustic monotypes in this three-hour workshop taught by Leigh Harrison. You will be exposed to techniques for creating monotypes, working back into the prints as well as using the prints in your encaustic paintings. This workshop is designed for artists of all levels, even those new to encaustic painting. All supplies included, but you are welcome to bring paper to experiment with.
