Learn basic jewelry skills while exploring alternative materials and art jewelry. You will create unique works of art jewelry that are lightweight, fun, and stylish. Using standard materials such as brass and copper, and alternative materials like plexiglass, aluminum, glass, and found objects you will create unique pieces that speak to your personal style.
There will be an emphasis on developing the foundational skills needed to create more advanced work. There will be plenty of time to dive deeply into the subject, play, and inquire. The instructor, Chris Unruh, spent seven years as a costume jewelry designer in New York after receiving a degree in Jewelry from the Fashion Institute of Technology.
