Improve your observation skills, gain confidence and learn to translate what you see onto paper. Regardless of skill level, anyone can learn fundamental drawing techniques to enhance their creative capabilities. This course, for beginners, as well as those with minimal drawing skills will benefit through a series of basic mark-making exercises. VET will review tool applications, tips and short cuts that will bring immediate results. She will show various composition styles, how to create depth, apply textures and develop perspective in a drawing.

Supplies: For the first day of class meeting, please bring a sketchbook (8.5 x 11 in), 2 pencils and 2 erasers (Kneaded, Magic white, or a similar brand), pencil sharpener, 2 ink pens and a ruler. Additional supplies are required for this course; the instructor will have a hand-out of that supply list in class.
