The heart is a lovely and iconic symbol of that certain holiday that occurs every February 14. Some folks enjoy wearing hearts on their sleeve all year long – or on wrists, necks, and fingers!Let’s get into some metalsmithing and create heart jewelry for ourselves and our beloved ones. I’ll lead you through making wire hearts with hand tools, and from there to make bangles or rings.
We shall also discuss and demonstrate sawing hearts from sheet metal to create pendants or wrap-rings.
Prerequisites: Some experience using a torch and jewelry hand tools is not necessary but helpful. Feel free to sign up friends and family members. It’s always more fun to learn and laugh!
Supplies: All supplies provided. You bring an apron or wear old clothing. We will use brass and copper metals available in the classroom to make our pieces.
