Mixed Media Mosaic (Collins Tuesday Evening)

Integrating paper collage elements into the concept of mosaic, you will create beautiful mosaics from stained glass, porcelain tile, china, and found objects. Students will be encouraged to combine a wide range of materials. Combining approaches and materials from different art disciplines, you will start thinking outside the box with your mosaic work. Ideal for both beginning and experienced mosaic artists. Bring a sketchbook and an open mind.

• Foundational knowledge of the design elements and their relation mosaics
• Basic mosaic cutting techniques
• Proficiency in finishing and wiring a project for hanging
