WORKSHOPS: PRINTMAKING & PAPER ARTS

Capture the Beauty of Nature in this 3-Hour workshop.  Create One-Of-A-Kind Prints. By layering with color, combining shapes, and using plants from the garden tell your nature story. This is a Non-Toxic Printmaking process, using soy inks that do not harm our planet.  

Plant material from Terri’s Garden, a variety of white, toned, and colored papers are provided for you to explore how color reacts.  Feel free to bring some snippets from your yard and experience this simple printing process, there is no limit to fun we will have!

In this 3-hour workshop, enjoy the wonders of folding paper while unlocking the mystery of Origami.  Learn what papers works best, understand how to use Origami instructions, explore the base folds and create several Origami objects. Create a variety of simple origami creatures and hanging ornaments. All materials and supplies provided.

Fun for the Holidays, Hand Printed Cards.  Using a collection of antique India woodblocks, and wood type, you will design with color, pattern, and words, printing onto a variety of stationery products. Mix and Match, creating holiday cards or gifts! Everything you could desire is supplied, just come and enjoy a day of creative bliss!

Students will choose and arrange images, create small drawings, select a color palette, and develop a center of interest to create an aesthetically pleasing and framed composition.

Students are encouraged to collect from home and bring meaningful items to personalize their collage; maps from trips, found 3D objects, small toys, etc. The more materials you select, the more design options you’ll have.

Additional objects, hand-made papers, matte medium, glue brushes, and shadow box frames will be provided at the workshop.
